Suva’s Albert Park was a hive of activity last night as many turned out to witness the beginning of yet another Vodafone Fiji Hibiscus Festival.
Although rides and stalls were in full swing from yesterday, the official opening of what’s now known as the mother of all festivals happens today.
Like every other year, hibiscus contestants, sponsors and the public will be part of a traditional hibiscus parade from Sukuna Park to Albert Park beginning at mid-day.
Last night at the main Hibiscus tent, the 2013 Vodafone Fiji Hibiscus King contestants had their public judging.
Tonight it’s the teen contestants who will be under the spotlight.
It’s the teen category’s talent night.
A whole line of activities, promising fun and entertainment are instore for the whole family and the Hibiscus Events Group is encouraging everyone to turn up in numbers to enjoy the week long celebrations.
