Employees of the three Sheraton hotels in Nadi who walked off their jobs this morning have returned to work.
An agreement was reached between the employees and the hotel’s management to resolve their grievances within 14 days.
All staff who had boycotted work this morning have been told to report back to work as soon as possible.
This is after a negotiation was reached between the landowning unit and the management who came to meet the Tui Nadi at around 10am today.
I can confirm that negotiations have been completed and the land owning unit has reported to staff that the management would meet all their grievances within 14 days.
The landowning unit says if their demands are not met within the 14 day time-frame, they will come back to Narewa village on January 14 to boycott work again. For the time being, those who have boycotted work this morning have been told to return to work.
Morning staff were on the buses reporting back to work after mid-day while the afternoon staff are still sitting around Narewa village, and are expected to report back to work this afternoon. That the latest here at Narewa Village.
