Increase in child abuse report cases

Child abuse cases in Fiji are still on the rise.
Until May this year, the Fiji Women’s Crisis Centre has recorded 396 child abuse cases.
These cases reported to the FWCC are ranging from physical abuse, sexual abuse and neglect ion.
Around 121 child abuse cases were recorded from the Northern Division, 70 from Ba, 43 from Rakiraki and 157 from Nadi.
The Centre says more children are coming forward to get counselling.
