More than 200 people attended the 2015 Fiji Performing Rights Association Music Awards at the Grand Pacific Hotel in Suva last night.

It was a night for local artists and those from abroad to celebrate music and honour those who have risen above the rest and achieved the right to be called the best.

FPRA awards coordinator Seru Serevi said it was about time that people recognise that with the right kind of support musicians and singers in Fiji can make a decent living.

“Really we would like to call on the government we have so much talent. We want to contribute to the economy all we need is the support of the government with the enforcement of the copyright laws and helping us to help our members and upcoming artists.”
