Gau islanders not happy with Family planning initiative

he People of Gau in Lomaiviti have voiced their concerns to the Health Ministry on the manner at which a family planning program was carried out on the island.
Atunaisa Kavanalagi of Sawaieke village told FBC News a number of women on the island were stopped from getting pregnant for 5 years.
Kavanalagi says the health ministry did not follow proper cannels in approaching the Vanua to implement the program.
He says women on the island have also expressed their concern after taking up the family planning initiative.
Permanent Secretary for Health Dr Eloni Tora says if the women of Gau have any issues with the program, they can always visit their nearest Health centres to have it removed.
