PM expresses gratitude

Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama has thanked all former Fijians residing overseas for their continued assistance towards those affected by the floods.

Bainimarama asked Fiji’s Ambassador to the United States of America Winston Thompson, to convey his message of gratitude.

His remarks comes after Thompson handed a draft of FJD $212,765.95 (USD $120,958.88) that was collected through the initiative of the Fiji mission in New York and the Embassy in Washington.

The Permanent Mission of the State of Qatar to the United Nations also donated USD$100,000 to the fund.
