Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama along with other cabinet ministers toured the refurbished Latter Day Saints Church in Suva this morning.
The government delegation was shown around the complex before it officially opens its doors to members of the public next week.
Bainimarama urged the church to invite non-members to as well and during the tour the Prime Minister was given a copy of his genealogy as a gift from the church.
New Service Centre Manager Adolp Johansson says the church is grateful for the visit.
“The temple for us represents the family and the purpose of the temple is to bind the families together not only for time but for all eternity and that is the true purpose of the temple.”
The church will be open for public viewing from Monday to Saturday next week.
