Assessors find Qarase guilty

Assessors in the trial of former FHL Director Laisenia Qarase have found him guilty of all charges against him.
The assessors delivered their verdict a short while ago.
The judge – Justice Priyantha Fernando is expected to make his ruling on the case.
Qarase is charged with six counts of abuse of office and three counts of discharge of duty in a property which he has a private interest.
