One year for Qarase

Former Prime Minister and FHL director Laisenia Qarase has been sentenced to 12 months imprisonment.
The sentence was handed down by Justice Priyantha Fernando just minutes ago.
We’ll have more details later.
This morning as Qarase arrived in court, there was applause and cheers from supporters gathered outside the court room.
His family have also turned out in large numbers.
