Business houses have been warned to stop using short cuts to get approvals for their businesses.

Speaking at the Fiji Business Forum yesterday Attorney General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum revealed they have discovered more fraud cases within some of the government departments.

He says these were instigated by the people from the private sector.

_“There is no way that the misappropriation of funds or overpay could have taken place if it was not for the private sector encouraging that or bribing those people. So there is a responsibility whenever we talk about governance and in terms of bringing people down you will generally create disrespect to your fellow business people if one of you actually goes and is quite willing to give bribes.” _

Sayed-Khaiyum stressed business processes must be respected.
