The Natabua High School cadet parade is known as the mother of all pass outs.
With a large number of students taking part, the school showed off its new drills to Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama yesterday, who praised the parade.
While touching on patriotism and national pride, Bainimarama did not pass up the opportunity to get an important message across
This is critical as we work together to build a new Fiji. A Fiji where everyone is proudly Fijian, united in a vision for the future. A Fiji where we will respect, appreciate and celebrate the aspirations of our all people. A Fiji where we will live justly and peacefully with one another as common and equal citizens. This is the potential we have as a nation. Therein lies the inherent strength of achieving a common national identity. But it will not happen simply by wishing it. As cadets, you have been taught about responsibility. Well, I now call on your responsibility as Fijians.
Cadets are instilled with important values designed to help them succeed in life.
