Diving turns tragic

A 21 year-old man is dead after a diving tragedy in Savusavu.
Police say the man – whilst diving – speared a stingray and went underwater with it.
The cord of the spear gun then got tangled on the reef.
He was later found by his companion lying motionless.
His body was retrieved by the help of two others.
He was then conveyed to Savusavu Hospital – where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
The body is now awaiting post mortem.
