Brazil help for Fiji sugar sector

Talks have been held on how Brazil can help Fiji’s sugar industry.
Fiji’s Ambassador to Brazil Cama Tuiloma recently met with key stakeholders in Brazil.
Tuiloma visited the Sugarcane Technology Centre and they have expressed their willingness to assist Fiji’s sugar industry.
He also visited a company that builds ethanol mills.
Discussions resulted in an offer from the company to assist Fiji.
Brazil is the world’s largest sugarcane producer responsible for 35 per cent of global production.
