Telecom Fiji to boost services

Telecom Fiji has envisioned 2017 as the year to build an inclusive digital Fiji by empowering Fijians with telecommunications.
Chief Executive, Motilal De Silva says upgrading work to their satellite project which will enable wider connection and coverage have begun.
“Providing satellite services to far flung areas on Fiji and extending fiber and also connecting to Wi-Fi hot spot, 4G Plus, fiber to home. We will also be reaching the outer islands and the remote of Fiji through satellite as we are upgrading and enhancing the speed and capacity.”
De Silva adds one of the major projects which is currently underway is covering Viti Levu under Telecom’s towers.
He says the stretch between Rakiraki to Korovou is left and will be completed this year.
