The Maritime and Safety Authority of Fiji has been operating without a board of directors since June 2015
This was confirmed by the Permanent Secretary for Infrastructure and Transport Paul Bayly while making submissions to the parliamentary Standing Committee on Public Accounts.
“The minister is considering some new addition to the board but in the meantime the functions of the board is being exercised through me and my office.”
Bayly says with the absence of the board, MSAF is working to ensure that regular meetings are held to keep the authority on track.
