The Fiji Red Cross plans to build 19 more homes for people who were affected by Tropical Cyclone Winston.
Director Filipe Nainoca says they have so far constructed six homes and based on availability of funds, they can build a total of 35.
“But the homes need to be spread out so there is two in Ra, two in Koro and two in Savusavu. And then the community decides amongst themselves who should be the recipient.”
The Fiji Red Cross says despite the challenges they face, they’ll continue to help those in need with priority on the severely-affected areas.
