Heavy rain warning with yet another low pressure system affecting Fiji

On the weather watch, the Fiji Meteorological Services have issued a special weather bulletin in the last hour.
A heavy rain warning remains in force for Vanua Levu, Taveuni and nearby smaller islands and Lau group.
A heavy rain alert remains in force for the Lomaiviti group.
On the situation, there is a trough of low pressure lies slow moving just to the northeast of Fiji.
It is expected to gradually move onto the group later today.
Associated cloud and rain will continue to affect the Northern and Eastern parts of the country so brace yourselves for rain and keep that umbrella handy.
For Vanua Levu, Taveuni and nearby smaller islands and Lau group, expect occasional rain, however that rain is expected to become frequent and heavy with thunderstorms from this afternoon.
Localised heavy rain may lead to flash flooding of low lying areas, so those communities in flood prone areas, please be extra cautious and monitor the weather reports.
