Charges amended in Fiji Times case

Charges against Fiji Times Limited, Publisher Hank Arts, Editor Fred Wesley, Nai Lalakai Editor Anare Ravula and contributor Josaia Waqabaca have been amended from inciting communal antagonism to Sedition.
It’s alleged that in April 2016, Josaia Waqabaca did a seditious act by submitting an article for publication in the Nai Lalakai newspaper with an intention to promote feelings of ill-will and hostility between different classes of the population of Fiji.
Publisher Hank Arts is alleged to have published a seditious publication in his capacity as the publisher of Nai Lalakai newspaper.
Fred Wesley in his capacity as the Editor-in-Chief and Anare Ravula in his capacity as the Editor are alleged to have aided and abetted Arts to publish an article in the Nai Lalakai newspaper which was a seditious publication.
The matter has been adjourned to March 28th.
