Suva High Court Judge Justice Salesi Temo has ruled that there is a case to answer in the case against Josua Colanaudolu who was allegedly involved in the abduction, rape and murder of a fourteen year old girl in Deuba in March last year.
Prosecution closed its case yesterday and Colanaudolu took the stand today to defend himself.
40-year-old Colanaudolu recalled the day of the alleged incident, however for almost three hours, he kept telling the court that he was drinking alcohol with his friends after work, then he went to the Uprising Beach Resort to watch Fiji’s game.
He did not say anything regarding his alleged involvement in the death of the teenager.
Colanaudolu is charged with several counts of murder, rape, abduction and indecently annoying a female.
