Solar power for rural school

The University of Fiji in partnership with MV Solar Fiji Limited will be supplying solar power to the Koroinasolo Village School in Bua, and Vanualevu without any cost.
This is expected to benefit 65 people in the community.
UniFiji Executive Director Finance, Ravneet Sami, says the estimate cost of supply of Solar Power equipment and accessories, travel and installation and other teaching and learning essential comprising of 5 sets of computers, printer, solar bulbs, stationeries, books and sports equipment, is approximately $35,000.
Sami says teachers and students will have access to latest technologies like internet, photocopier and computer.
The installation will be a four to five day exercise and will be carried out by the end of July this year.
