The second term school break has begun and students are advised to stay safe and not get involved in any illegal activity.
Students will be engaging in a lot of extracurricular activities and also taking part in the Hibiscus Festival and the Force is urging parents to beware of their children’s whereabouts at all times.
Police Chief of Operations, ACP Rusiate Tudravu, says security around towns, cities, night-spots and game centres will be tight.
“I can confirm that our present plans are already out and our deployment will be strengthened in terms of manpower and also the visibility supported by the vehicles that are available.”
ACP Tudravu says they will heavily monitor nightclubs and work with its owners to deter under age entry into night spots.
