Over eight hundred and fifty thousand dollars was spent to rebuild the Tailevu North College.

The school suffered damage during severe Tropical Cyclone Winston and was rebuilt as part of government’s cyclone rehabilitation program.

While opening the rehabilitated facility, Prime Minister, Voreqe Bainimarama said students of Tailevu North will begin their term three classes in proper learning environment.

” The memories of what happened in February 2016 will always be with us. But now that this work has been completed, I hope that our students can finally put the trauma of what happened behind them, concentrate on their studies and be able to say – “we truly were stronger than Winston”.

Bainimarama also congratulate the 90 percent pass rate achieved by the school in previous years

The rehabilitation work includes the repair of three classrooms, an office, a lab and the replacement of the school’s roofing irons that were blown away by TC Winston
