Fiji Commerce Commission former chief executive Bobby Maharaj has changed his counsel for the third time.
Maharaj who appeared before Magistrate Jioji Boseiwaqa this morning will now be represented by a new lawyer – Nancy Choo.
He was earlier represented by Avinesh Reddy, who was later replaced by Jitendra Reddy.
Maharaj is charged with one count of abuse of office by the Fiji Independent Commission against Corruption.
It is alleged that Maharaj while working at the Fiji Commerce Commission abused his authority and directed an employee to fill in false information without conducting an inspection of a trader.
Choo sought more time to file agreed facts as she is awaiting documents from Maharaj’s former lawyer.
The matter has been adjourned to October 30th.
