The Fiji Broadcasting Corporation has today launched the country’s first ever radio apps.
Listeners around the world can now access FBC’s four stations, GoldFM, MirchiFM, BulaFM and 2DayFM for free via the app.
FBC Chief Executive, Riyaz Sayed-Khaiyum says that it hasn’t been easy for FBC to become the first broadcaster in the country to have an official app for radio.
“The reason why we are very proud of the apps is that we have developed the apps to make it something wonderful not only for our listeners but for our clients as well.”
App Creator, Marco Arena says it was a challenge putting the app together for Fijian listeners.
“You don’t want to have an app that is too complex or too hard to use or otherwise your customers will just delete it from their phones. So it’s really important to get the right recipe, to have it fast and quick for the fast life of Fijians.”
The radio apps are now available to all android phones via google play and will be available to IOS phones next week.
