Huge turnout for Hindi Day Celebration

A number of students, teachers and parents turned up to be part of the Hindi Day celebrations at University of the South Pacific in Suva this morning.

Students who set for external exams last year and scored high marks were also presented with certificates, trophies and cash money.

There were 3 categories in essay writing competition, in which winners were selected on a 1st, 2nd and 3rd basis and were presented with certificates and trophies.

Chief Guest, Indian High Commissioner of Fiji, Vishwas Sapkal, says there are many types of Hindi over the world but, Fiji Hindi is recognized in Fiji through which Hindi is also recognized in our Country.

Sapkal also said, Fiji Hindi is a wonderful language and it feels good to see people of other races also speak Fiji Hindi in the country.
