The Stinson and the Vatuwaqa bridges are expected to be completed in June next year.
This has been confirmed by Fiji Roads Authority’s Chief Executive, Jonathan Moore who says that work has been going well for both bridges.
“Vatuwaqa and Stinson, they are still on track. They should be finished in June next year is the formal completion date. The decks are across the river now, that’s the main part, so the bridges are actually built and now it’s just the approaches onto the bridge from the road and the finishing works.”
Moore says it has been easy tracking the contractor’s work as they are only dealing with one contractor.
He says that the contractor has been moving people from Vatuwaqa and Stinson to do different work and are also rotating their staff to finish their work on time.
