Voluntary contributions to the Fiji National Provident Fund can now be done through Vodafone’s M-Paisa platform.
This is after the two companies signed an agreement to boost voluntary contributions.
FNPF Chief Financial Officer, Pravinesh Singh says the initiative is also aimed at making the process of voluntary contributions seamless.
Vodafone Fiji Head of E-Commerce and Corporate Affairs, Shailendra Prasad says the contribution payments can now be done through the comfort of mobile phones.
“The cost of this service will initially be free of charge to you. So you are not charged anything for your voluntary contributions. We will obviously revenue it after three months and how things are performing. We want to make this service a free service to you so you continue to save without any cost.”
The minimum voluntary contribution is seven dollars and can be done through a simple dial of *567#.
