The Bureau of Statistics will not be releasing preliminary results of the Census data as was initially planned.
Senior Statistician, Emali Soderberg, says instead they’re going to release their official findings in about three weeks.
In the meantime, they’re ensuring their data is up to par.
“Some households needed to be revisited because some information was missing so some officers had to go out to the field to collect the information that was missing, at times we actually call up people based on the information that we’ve received during the enumeration process just to verify a few things.”
Census Commissioner Epeli Waqavonovono is expected to announce the official findings in a press conference and for the first time the Bureau will also be releasing the information on social media.
