It’s important to involve young Fijians in activities that help fight against corruption in the country.
This was highlighted by UNDP Anti-corruption specialist, Minaela Stojkoska who believes youth are our future leaders and they need to be addressed on the effects of this criminal act.
“Youth know how to reach out to other youths and to transfer important messages that are relevant for fight against corruption and integrity is one of the most important elements in preventing corruption and this needs to be built during the young years of human lives.”
While speaking at the International Anti-corruption workshop in Suva, Stojkoska also highlighted the importance of creating a platform where the younger generations can openly share their ideas.
Attorney General, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum says it’s crucial to involve young people simply because more than sixty percent of the Fijian population is under the age of forty and they hold the future of Fiji.
