A Suva businessman who is charged with a count unlawful wounding has been granted bail by the Suva Magistrates Court.
Liu Fu Qiang is alleged to have attacked another businessman, using a kitchen knife on the 30th of November at Namadi Heights in Suva.
It is alleged the accused demanded fifteen thousand dollars from the victim’s girlfriend and after she refused, Qiang attacked the victim.
He has been granted bail for a sum of two hundred dollars with two sureties and has to report to Raiwaqa Police Station every Saturday.
He is also to surrender his travel documents.
Qiang will take his plea on the 12th of January.
