Attorney General and Minister for Public Enterprise Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum late last night met with staff of Air Terminal Services Limited (ATS) who held an illegal strike on Saturday.
Sayed-Khaiyum met with the group after being invited by representatives of the staff.
Cordial discussions which ended in the early hours this morning provided an opportunity for the Minister to hear first-hand the grievances of the staff who illegally walked off the job on Saturday afternoon and have subsequently not being allowed back to their workstations.
The ATS staff reportedly raised various issues pertaining to the company and other issues in efforts to improve their services.
Meanwhile Fiji Airways have put out a public notice advising its customers that due to challenges with catering, cleaning and airport resources resulting from industrial action by ATS, services may be affected.
To better prepare for affected flights, Fiji Airways is encouraging its customers to have a meal prior to boarding or carry refreshments to have on board.
