Police will not only come down hard on drug dealers but also on those who are found in possession of illegal drugs.

Chief of Operations, ACP Rusiate Tudravu, says in some of their recent drug raids, people were caught working for drug dealers by delivering supplements.

Tudravu says many youth see this as a way to earn easy money.

“Some are just service middle men and some are not uses of drugs but they use it because of the money gained out of it businesswise. But if you are using it as business or not utilizing it for consumption, remember they are still illegal drugs. So from the farmers to those that are selling it, these are all the areas that we’ve been targeting all along and we’ll strengthen that again this year.”_

Meanwhile, ACP Tudravu adds drug dealers are getting more tactical and trying to outsmart them.

Fijians are urged to call Crime Stoppers on 919 or any Command Centres if they have any information on the illegal drug trade.
