The family of a man who died in a road accident at Waimalika, Nadi this morning is still trying to come to terms with the tragic incident.
Twenty-six-year-old Praneet Goundar died in a horrific accident after the vehicle he was traveling in veered off the road and fell into a river in Sabeto.
Pranesh Goundar, the younger brother of the victim says they’re still in shock.
“No because whenever he comes late he would call us and tells us that he will be late so we didn’t know that this would happen and when we got the news we were shocked and we said no that can’t be. He is the eldest and I’m the youngest and he just left me without any reason.”
Pranesh says he last saw his brother yesterday morning when they dropped him off at work.
He says his older brother had plans to settle and get married this year.
The victim will be laid to rest next Monday.
Meanwhile, a post mortem is expected to be conducted soon.
The victim was travelling with three others when it’s alleged the driver lost control of the vehicle resulting in the tragedy.
The incident occurred on the Waimalika Bridge.
