South Pacific Stock Exchange Chief Executive Krishika Narayan says the SPSE is concerned about women participating on the stock exchange.
She says SPSE will organize more training for women who are in the business field so that they can participate actively on the listing.
“As of the latest statistics, we have a total of 105 directors on SPSE boards and that’s a total of 19 listed companies. So out of the entire 105, only 13 are female directors.”
Narayan says the SPSE is considering having mandatory rules for women to participate in listed companies.
She made these comments at the International Women’s day celebration.
