Lautoka Lawyer Aman Ravindra Singh has been appointed as the new Parliamentary Leader of the Fiji Labour Party.
Singh’s appointment was announced this afternoon during the FLP’s National Council meeting today in Nadi.
Singh says he has gladly accepted the challenge and will now be in the process of mapping out the party’s plan for the General Elections.
“We are currently looking at some of the worst situations in many of these sectors including highest level of unemployment, high levels of inflation, medical systems being in shambles, high rates of crimes, domestic violence so these are pressing issues that affect Fijians on a daily basis.”
Party Leader Mahendra Chaudhry says the role will fit Singh perfectly.
“So we need someone who can contest and be in parliament if elected and so this assignment has been given to Aman who is the Assistant Secretary General naturally and he will be conducting the campaign on behalf of the labour party.”
Chaudhry says this also means Aman Singh will be the Prime Minister of Fiji if the Fiji Labour Party wins the Election.
