MOA signing to benefit farmers

The memorandum of agreement signed on the Fiji Agricultural Partnership Project with the Partners in Community Development Fiji will empower farmers in Fiji.
Minister for Agriculture Inia Seruitatu revealed this after Government MP Brij Lal asked how the MOA will benefit farmers.
“The overall goal of the Fiji Agricultural Partnership Project is to reduce hardship in remote rural communities with a project development objective of engaging small scale producers in sustainable farming and business partnerships in remote areas particularly in the highlands.”
Seruiratu says the project would cost about $11 million.
He says 41 villages and 2000 household farmers will benefit from this partnership which will empower them get out of poverty.
