Third prosecution witness Sikeli Nasoni took the stand today at the Suva High Court in an alleged manslaughter case.
It’s alleged that Sanaila Noke and Bai Duruimata punched 23-year-old Josefa Rokotuitavoki on July 5th, 2016 at a nightclub in Nausori which resulted in his death.
The two have been charged with one count each of manslaughter.
Nasoni told the court that he was the security guard at the club on the day the incident took place.
He said he saw a person lying on the floor and took him outside and wiped blood from his face.
He said the person was unconscious and he laid him beside a chair and brought some cartons for him to lie down on.
In cross examination, Defence lawyer Qetaki Lisiate asked him whether he had seen anyone punching Rokotuitavoki.
He replied saying no as he was outside and did not see anything.
The trial continues tomorrow.
