Forming a coalition post-election to make up the Government is not the focus for the National Federation Party says its leader.
Professor Biman Prasad says the Party’s focus is on fighting the election and post-election decisions will be made after the election.
When asked by FBC News if after the General Election, a scenario is created whereby, the NFP might hold the balance of power and will have to side with a party to form Government, this is what the NFP Leader had to say.
“You should go and ask same question to the leader of the FijiFirst Party, if they don’t get a majority who are they going to form a coalition with and you should ask a similar question to the leader of SODELPA before you ask me that question.”
In an earlier interview with FBC News, Professor Prasad said the Party will not form a coalition with any other political party.
Prasad says the NFP’s stance will remain the same as the 2014 General Election, where the party fought the election on its own.
