The Fiji Roads Authority has been directed to review its policy regarding the road humps in rural roads across the country.
Commissioner Northern Jovesa Vocea says they have received numerous requests from villages and settlements for the establishment of road humps as a means to curb speeding.
However, FRA has banned this saying road humps also have an impact on the road structure as well as on vehicles.
During a meeting of Cakaudrove District representatives yesterday, Vocea received requests for road humps from Navakaka and Valeni.
He stated as of now they cannot accommodate any such request, adding the Prime Minister has directed FRA to review its road hump policy.
The requests for road humps comes following concerns of speeding from the village.
