The residents of Nasau village in Koro Island can expect better health care with the opening of the reconstructed Health Centre tomorrow.
The clinic which was severely damaged in the wake of Cyclone Winston in 2016 has not only been reconstructed but it’s also been upgraded to a more comprehensive medical facility.
With funding support from the Australian Government, six hundred and fifty thousand dollars has been used to add a new wing to the Health Centre, the Maternal and Child Health Clinic which will include a delivery room as well as ante-natal and maternal health clinics.
The reconstruction project of the Nasau Health Centre was undertaken in January this year and will be officially opened tomorrow by the Health Minister Rosy Akbar and Australia’s High Commissioner to Fiji John Feakes.
