Twenty two bags of rubbish has been collected within forty minutes by Year Two students of International Primary School this morning along the ANZ Stadium and My Suva Park.
Class teacher Hannah Navonu says this is their third clean-up campaign which commenced in the last two months in an effort to advocate the importance of keeping Fiji’s surroundings clean.
Nanovu believes everyone should make an effort especially young people in picking up rubbish and placing it in the appropriate places for the betterment of our country.
“I think it’s really an awesome opportunity for schools to get involved. I mean the younger generation inheriting all this so that they can start making a difference now which means they can make Fiji a better place.”
The school hopes to expand their campaign to involve stake holders in the wider Clean up Fiji campaign.
