Boarding to stop at Nasinu Secondary
Report by: Edwin Nand
Nasinu Secondary School in Kinoya will not accommodate boarding students from next year.
Instead students will have to travel from their homes.
The school was setup in 1980 for students from maritime and remote areas of the country who had completed form 4. It accommodated boarders only for forms 5, 6 and 7.
Education Minister Filipe Bole says now that other schools have been upgraded to provide form seven education, Nasinu Secondary School has served its purpose as a boarding school.
As a result, residents of Kinoya, Nadera and Cunningham can now add Nasinu Secondary as a choice for their children who will be enrolling in forms 3 to 7 next year.
