Former Rewa defender, Posiano Kalisito will face his demons when playing for Labasa in the Battle of the Giants clash at Subrail Park this Sunday.
Kalisito left the Southern Giants in this transfer window, so too, Tiger’s defenders Kavaia Rawaqa and Ilisoni Logaivou.
Labasa soccer interim secretary Satishwar Chand says fitness will be a key factor in their tournament opener.
“To get your fitness level you have to have the training for three session as we will be playing ninety minutes soccer, but the Coach is trying it’s best to meet the fitness level.”
Labasa last won the Battle of the Giants title in 1997 through a Taniela Tuilevuka goal.
Since then it has been a waiting game for ardent Babasiga Lion’s fans.
They meet Rewa at 3pm this Sunday and you can catch the live commentary of that match, the Suva-Nadi and Ba-Nadroga matches on our sister station Radio Fiji Two with the voice of Soccer Raymond Stoddart.
