Nigerian striker Sanni Issa and defender Samuela Kautoga may not be able to feature for Suva in the Inkk Mobile Battle of the Giants.

The duos transfer was disputed and a meeting was called by Fiji Football Association to deliberate on the matter.

Rewa had produced receipts and documents showing Issa had owed them $6,000 and if Suva could clear the amount, Issa would have been free to play for them.

For Kautoga, he owed Labasa $13,000 and before departing to play club soccer in Vanuatu he agreed to return and play for Labasa.

Kautoga’s failure to honour his agreement with Labasa, had the Northerners demanding Suva for the $13,000.

After the board meeting, Labasa agreed to come down to $7,000 but Suva did not want to pay the amount.

Fiji FA CEO Bob Kumar says the matter has been referred to the board of control which will meet on July 28th.

He says if the disputing parties are able to agree then the two players can play in the BOG.

Kumar says it seems Rewa does not want to negotiate.

“the board said if the disputing parties could negotiate but Rewa said there would be no negotiation. Again we have referred the matter to the BOC.”

BOG starts this Sunday with Suva to feature in the first game against Nadi.

Ba and Nadroga follow, then its Navua taking on Lautoka and the final match will be between hosts Labasa and Rewa.
