The Tavua soccer team arrived more than an hour late to play Nadroga at Lawaqa Park in the Fiji Sun GP Batteries National Football League this afternoon.

It took Fiji Football Association to call them and inform them that they would be fined as much as $5000 for not turning up to play.

Tavua is yet to comment as to why they were late.

Nadroga beat Tavua 4-0.

Savusavu took its first step away from relegation after beating Rewa 2-1 this afternoon.

Rewa drew 1-1 with Labasa yesterday and was hoping for a win today.

And at Prince Charles Park, the game ended with Suva and Nadi tied at 1-1.

The match was played in a pitch marred by a volleyball tournament played just a day earlier.
