Navosa, Malolo, Ba win first rounds

Navosa, Malolo and Ba have won their first round games of the B-Division rugby competition.

At Lawaqa Park in Sigatoka, Navosa defeated Kadavu 19-6 in front of a crowd of 200.

Navosa’s points came from try scorers, Taniela Vatunicoke, Waisale Kurusaravi and Kiniviliame Nauvasi.

Navosa flyhalf, Apenisa Makala converted two of the three tries while Kadavu’s points came from two penalty goals from Tuqara Lekanagata.

Meanwhile, in the second match, Namosi thumped Serua 53-3 after leading at halftime, 22-3.

In other games Malolo beat Yasawa South 18-15 at Churchill Park in Lautoka while at Garvey Park in Tavua, Ba beat Vatukaloko 32-14.
