New Zealand makes good start thumping Samoa

The New Zealand Under-21 netball side has made a good start to the Digicel Punjas International Series.

They thumped Samoa 85-19 in the opening match of the tournament.

The Samoans were in the match in the first quarter trailing 18-9 but New Zealand ran to a 29 point lead at half-time, 39-10.

Meanwhile, Fiji is currently playing Australia and is trailing 37-14 at half-time.

The visitors led 20-7 at the end of the first quarter.

Round robin games continue tomorrow and Friday with the finals to be played at the Vodafone Arena in Suva on Saturday.
