Druku Open Surfing to be held next Saturday

The 2017 Druku Memorial Open surfing competition is confirmed to be held next Saturday.
Fiji Surfing Head Coach Ian Portingale says the competition was supposed to be held last Saturday was postpones due to extreme weather conditions.
“The competition is the event to pay respect to the late Chief Druku who died in 2016.The event has been developed with prize money and has invited surfers to promote a higher level of competition for Fijian surfers at the premier break of Fiji.”
He adds the top 8 surfers will qualify for the final wildcard trial event in May to gain entry into the men’s world championship tour event to be hosted by Fiji.
