Tailevu Naitasiri makes a strong start in Women's League

The Tailevu Naitasiri Football team has made a powerful start in the Vodafone Women’s Senior League competition.

The side thumped Lami 5 nil while Rewa beat Nasinu 4 nil and Navua held Suva to a nil all draw.

The Women’s League was official launched yesterday at the Fiji Football Associations headquarters in Vatuwaqa.

A total of 13 districts will be take part this season.

Navua, Lami, Suva, Nasinu, Rewa and Tailevu Naitasiri are taking part in the Southern Division while Westerns Division has Nadi, Nadroga, Lautoka, and Ba plus the Northern Division consists of Labasa, Savusavu and Seaqaqa.

Meanwhile in the Vodafone Premier League, three matches will be played at 3pm today.

Ba hosts Dreketi at Govind Park, Lautoka plays Suva at Churchill Park and Nadi takes on Rewa at Prince Charles Park.
