New Zealand 7s captain, Scott Curry says his side will be a different unit in the World Rugby Sevens Series which starts in Dubai next month.

The Kiwis lost 26-0 in the final of the Oceania tournament last weekend.

Curry says the experience in the Oceania 7s, has helped his players become aware of the challenges for the upcoming season.

“First time we actually played in the tournament as a team. To make it into the finals and obviously against a really tough Fiji side, the boys have learnt a lot and hopefully it will help as going into Dubai.”

New Zealand is pooled with USA, Argentina and Samoa.

Meanwhile, the Fiji Airways national 7s team kicks off the Dubai 7s campaign against Russia on the 1st of December at 7.06pm; they then play Wales at 10.06pm and face Australia a day later at 4.06am.

The final will be played on the 3rd of December at 4.33am.

You can watch the Dubai 7s live on FBC TV and also catch commentaries of Fiji’s games on Radio Fiji One.
